    Rim brake rim review

I haven't built the rim into a wheel yet, so can't give a proper appraisal of the rim. As a wheel builder, one can usually tell from the building process how a wheel will perform - but as I said, we're not there yet. What I can say is that having noted the weight and profiles offered by Carbonal specifically for rim brake, I thought that they make good wheels IE, not too light ( to better withstand the effect of a rim brake?), and not too wide - it's all very well making rims in 27/28mm widths for aero gains, but rim brake calipers were not really designed for those widths, and require you to fit thinner brake pads; far from Ideal?
