This disc rim features an asymmetrical rim shape. Asymmetrical rims with 2.5mm offset nipple bed benefit to overall wheel strength by proper balancing of the spoke bracing angles from one flange to the other. The versatile 38mm depth asymmetrical rims are lightweight for long days on the road.

I've been riding on a set of Carbonal wheels for a few seasons, 38mm deep by 18mm internal width with DTSwiss 350 centerlock hubs and Sapim CX Ray spokes. I'm very pleased with the performance, weight and especially the build quality. No problems with the wheelset trueness even after many many miles as a 200+ Lb rider. Being able to build with high quality hubs and spokes was a great plus for me. Great build, great value, great wheels.
